Social Proof
Social proof is a commonly used persuasion technique that
lends credibility to a subject or idea by associating or
validating it using something that the listener already views
as being authoritative and valid.

convince prospective customers that Camel is the brand most
preferred by doctors.
Camel Cigarettes
Listerine
This next one combines the scientific proof of
"research" with the proof of watching the results in a social
situation as the girl gets the guy in the scenerio played out
in the ad.
There are many forms of social proof
including:
-
Testimonials
-
Surveys
-
Experts
Which of these can you use most effectively to
persuade people to adopt your ideas?
